Q: Can J. Tribble make my sink base in a specific size?

A: Absolutely! Although we have standard sizes in each style, any of our sink base styles can be built to your required measurements.

Q: How are the wooden tops protected from water?

A: All American solid wood and English veneered sink bases are sealed with a 2-part lacquer. Cottage Collection pieces have a special pre-catalyzed lacquer in the paint to help resist water. Although properly sealed tops are generally not affected by water if kept wiped up, they can be instantly damaged by harsh bathroom cleaners, bleach, fingernail polish remover, abrasives and tooth whitening gels.

Q: What if I want a stone top?

A: All of our wooden sink base tops are replaceable by removing the attaching screws. All of our sink bases will support stone. At present, J. Tribble does not sell stone tops with our sink bases.

Q: Can I use an under-mount sink with the wooden top?

A: It is possible to use an under-mount sink with both the American Solid Wood and the Cottage Collection, however, we recommend an over-mount sink for the protection and longevity of the top. In order to have the under-mount hole cut in your sink base, you must place a special order – as we rarely stock sink bases with an under-mount hole. Please call for lead-time on the sink-base style in which you are interested. English veneered and Italian hand painted sink bases can only accommodate a drop-in, self-rimming sink such as the Kohler Farmington.
